For the start of 2016, let’s get back to the Qlik Scripting Basics! Here are a few basic scripts that you will always want to have handy in your Qlik toolbox. These scripts will be very useful when creating new QlikView and Qlik Sense applications time and time again. You will definitely want to bookmark this page for future use! 😉
TABLES:
Simple script to query tables from a given database. This allows one to interrogate tables with ease.
Sample script using SQL Server as the database connection.
LOOPS:
Simple Loop to store tables, even as tables are created. This is very helpful when starting with a new client and not knowing all the tables that will be needed.
DATES:
Simple Date Table that is used to generate the custom date fields that will potentially be needed.
